Feedback Needed on Draft Standards and Practice Advice June 2026

The CRNA regularly asks for input from the public as it develops and revises standards and practice advice to ensure they are evidence-informed and align with best practice.

This input opportunity includes three draft standards of practice, and two practice advice, that provide direction, add clarity and guide registrants in continuing to provide safe, competent and ethical care.

  • Draft: Pronouncement of Death, Certification and Reporting Standards for Nurse Practitioners (New)
  • Draft: Female Genital Mutilation: Standards for Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners
  • Draft: Duty to Self-report to the CRNA
  • Draft: Coordination of Care: Practice Advice for Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners
  • Draft: Collaborative Care: Practice Advice for Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners

The draft documents are intended to provide direction, add clarity and guide registrants in continuing to provide safe, competent and ethical care.

The deadline to provide feedback for each document is July 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
